ERC Consolidator Grants are designed to support excellent Principal Investigators at the career stage at which they may still be consolidating their own independent research team or programme. Applicant Principal Investigators must demonstrate the ground-breaking nature, ambition and feasibility of their scientific proposal.

ERC Consolidator Grants These grants are for researchers with 7-12 years of experience since completion of PhD, a scientific track record showing great promise and an excellent research proposal. ERC Advanced Grants Researchers of 37 nationalities received 2019 Consolidator Grant funding for projects based in 24 different countries across Europe. The research conducted by the 301 new ERC grant recipients covers a wide range of topics in physical sciences and engineering, life sciences, as well as social sciences and humanities. We have selected six successful researchers – based in Denmark, France The ERC Starting and Consolidator Grants are part of the main ERC frontier research grants 2020 funded by the European Union's Horizon 2020 Framework Programme for Research and Innovation.

The European Research Council today announced the winners of its latest Consolidator Grant competition: 301 top scientists and scholars across Europe. Funding for these researchers, part of the Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme, is worth in total €600 million.
