Nimbus acquiring JV interest in Bella Boats from Brunswick December 4, 2018 Mercury Marine’s parent company Brunswick Corp. has entered into an agreement with Sweden-based Nimbus Boats to acquire the company’s joint venture interest in Finland-based Bella Boats. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. Bella was founded in Finland in 1970 by Raimo Sonninen, who owned the company all the way to the sale to Nimbus Group. In 1992, Bella-Veenet made its first acquisition through the acquisition of Flipper. In 2000, Bella-Veenet acquired the boat manufacturer Aquador. In 2017, production of the new boat brand Falcon started.

Svenska båttillverkaren Nimbus köper finländska konkurrenten Bella Boats. I köpet ingår varumärkena Bella, Flipper, Aquador och Falcon, skriver tidningen Båtliv. Nimbus grundades 1968 och har idag 145 anställda. Nettoomsättningen för 2018 väntas uppgå till 500 miljoner kronor.
